With HTC’s event, where their flagship smartphone would be launched, drawing near we have some more tips about the release. The phone which is currently branded as the M7 would be named as the HTC One at the launch and this news comes in from popular leakster @Evleaks on Twitter.
Earlier, HTC’s chairman Peter Chou, used the name M7 for their upcoming flagship smartphone. Now it seems that M7 was just a nickname for the phone that’s due to be released in ten days. At the HTC event, during the official unveiling the phone name used is supposed to be HTC One, which is HTC’s ongoing smartphone series.

It would seem that the nickname used for the device is just for creating a hype about the device and attract the interest of the customers.
HTC’s launch event, which is scheduled for the February 19th, is supposed to see the unveiling of the M7 besides other important announcements. So whether the device would be named as just the HTC One or M7 will be official on that day. So let’s see if this nickname is going to create some added interest.
