The HTC U Ultra, which was unveiled in January and launched in India last month, is now available for purchase in the country. While the U Ultra isn’t being advertised as a flagship smartphone, its specifications and price tag put it along the flagships from other manufacturers in the market.
The HTC U Ultra is priced at ₹59,990 and can be purchased from HTC India’s eStore. While HTC offers the U Ultra in three different colors – Brilliant Black, Cosmetic Pink and Sapphire Blue – only the Brilliant Black and Sapphire Blue colored variants are available for purchase.
The HTC U Ultra is powered by Snapdragon 821 SoC which is laced with 4 GB RAM and backed by Adreno 530 GPU. The device boots up to Android 7.0 Noguat and ships with a 3000 mAh battery. Also, it comes with 64 GB of internal storage, however, you can expand the storage up to 2 Terabytes via microSD card.
While these specs look good, the biggest highlight of the U Ultra is the display. It not only sports a 5.7-inch Quad-HD display, but, also has a 2-inch secondary display which is used to show your top contacts, app shortcuts, event notifications and more. Also, if you are someone who prefers listening to music on your smartphone while charging it, you will have to invest in Bluetooth earphones as HTC has done away with the 3.5 mm audio jack on the U Ultra.
