HTC has been focusing on budget Android smartphones for its popular Desire range. Now the company seems to be considering a tablet device as well.
A mysterious HTC tablet bearing model number HTC IV5001-A was spotted at benchmarks. Sources suggest that the tablet would be called the HTC Desire T7, where the ‘T’ represents tablet and ‘7’ represents the screen size. Interestingly, the sources reveal that the tablet would be priced affordably in the $170 range.
As per the listing, the HTC Desire T7 would have a 6.9 display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Surprisingly, the device is said to be powered by a quad core Spreadtrum SC8830 with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. Also expected is a 5 MP rear and front facing camera. We can hope to see the tablet at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2016.
