HTC unveiled its One M9 flagship at its pre-MWC event at the start of March and now, the company seems set to launch the device on the Indian shores. HTC has started sending out invites for the One M9 launch in India on April 14.
HTC’s invite says “Unveiling Brilliance” and adds, “Brace yourselves as we get ready to showcase the most exciting revelation in the history of smartphones”, which pretty much confirms it is the One M9 they are talking about.
The One M9 is very similar in looks to its predecessors but for the new dual tone colors. There’s the same metal unibody we love and the specs have got a reasonable bump. The One M9 packs in the same 5-inch IPS LCD display of Full HD (1920x1080p) resolution and it’s powered by the 64-bit Octa-core (4 x 2.0 GHz,4 x 1.5 GHz) Snapdragon 810 processor with Adreno 430 GPU.
The device features 3 GB RAM along with 32 GB of expandable storage. The camera units have gone through a major change. On the rear, there’s a new 20 MP camera with dual tone flash, BSI sensor, 4K capabilities and more. The front features the 4 MP UltraPixel camera we know and love from the One M8 and M7.
The HTC One M9 comes with the latest Sense 7.0 UI on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop and a 2840 mAh battery powers the device. All the connectivity features are on-board here, as you would expect from a flagship device There’s 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS and GLONASS.
The HTC One M9 should be available in various dual tone colors including a Silver model with Rose Gold frame, Gun Metal Gray, a Pink model with a Golden frame. Details on the pricing should be announced at the April 14 event and we’ll keep you posted. Till then, you can check out our hands on of the One M9.
