While we had already seen the Google Edition of the Samsung Galaxy S4 at the Google I/O Developer Conference, the Nexus version of the HTC One, which was denied by HTC officials, is now confirmed by the Android Head.
Speaking at the AllThingsD D11 conference, Sundar Pichai, Head of Android, has officially announced the HTC One with the pure Android experience is on its way and would be available on the Google Play Store starting June 26th. The Google Edition HTC One will cost $599 for 32 GB model.
The HTC One Google Edition is said to come unlocked with compatibility for both, AT&T and T-Mobile. While all the specs will remain the exact same, the device will run on stock Android v4.2.2 without any HTC UI. The company has now said that it is also finding ways to support early adopters of the One who may want the vanilla Android experience.
