Almost a month after first announcing the new HTC One A9, the company has now launched the handset in India.
HTC has announced the launch of the HTC One A9 in India, which is the company’s first smartphone in the new HTC One A series and also the first to run the latest Android Marshmallow version. The handset has a refreshingly new design which the company claim is not copied from Apple. It also flaunts a full metal body which comes with the multi-directional fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button and 4G LTE support.
The HTC One A9 has a 5 inch AMOLED display with 2.5D glass, Gorilla Glass 4 protection and resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the octa core Snapdragon 617 processor and is available in two variants – one with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage and the other with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
The HTC One A9 has a 13 MP rear facing auto focus camera with BSI sensor, OIS, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. There is also a front facing Ultrapixel camera. The device runs on the latest Android Marshmallow version with a 2150 mAh battery. The handset is available in Carbon Gray, Opal Silver, Topaz Gold and Deep Garnet colour options. The device would be release in December and pricing would be revealed at the time of release.
