While we just saw a new image leak of the HTC M8, another rumour has just surfaced claiming that the handset might feature a massive 5 MP front facing camera.
According to sources who are close to HTC, the HTC M8 will show a massive jump in front camera resolution. While the HTC One had a 2.1 MP front facing camera, the successor is touted to have a 5 MP front facing camera. The camera is also said to be wide-angle with capability to fit as many as four people in a single frame. The upgrade decision is said to be a sudden development.
Considering that the HTC M8 is expected to have a 5 MP rear facing UltraPixel camera, there could be possibility that it has been confused as the front camera. However, as there is no official confirmation about the rumour, we will have to wait for the launch to see if this rumour is actually true.
Expected specs of the HTC M8:
- 5 inch display
- 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution
- Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8974 processor
- 2 GB RAM
- 32 GB internal memory
- 5 MP UltraPixel primary camera
- 5 MP front facing camera
- Android v4.4 KitKat
