We recently came across a leaked press render of a new HTC device dubbed Desire 8 and now, we have an official teaser, thanks to HTC China. HTC China have posted an HTC Desire 8 teaser on China’s social network, Weibo.
The HTC Desire 8 teaser confirms the render we saw last week, so we will have the polycarbonate design along with BoomSound frontal speakers. The phablet is said to be coming in a number of attractive colors namely white, red, yellow, orange and cyan.
HTC Desire 8 will supposedly come with a 5.5-inch display of unknown resolution which will put the device right in between the upcoming 5-inch HTC M8 (the One successor) and the 6-inch display packing One Max.
As per reports, the Desire 8 will do away with the UltraPixel moniker and come with a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front facing camera.
As the teaser has been put up on a Weibo account, we expect the device to be unveiled and released in China first and then make its way to the rest of the world. We should get an official announcement soon and as always we’ll keep you posted.
