HTC might be planning a new addition to its Desire 600 series, as the Desire 626 has just leaked. The leak comes from @upleaks and we get to see the mid-range Desire 626 is high quality press renders and we also get to know the specs.
The leak shows us the Desire 626 in various color variants. The HTC Desire 626 is said to be a mid-range smartphone and will supposedly come with a 5-inch HD (1280x720p) display. Reportedly, the device will come in a couple of variants, one with the more powerful Octa-core MediaTek MT6572 chipset with 2 GB RAM and the other variant with the Quad-core Snpadragon 410 chipset with 1 GB RAM.
Both the variants will come with a 13 MP primary camera with LED flash and a 5 MP front-facing camera unit. The device will come with 16 GB of expandable storage. The battery is said to be at 2000 mAh, which seems rather low for the device. Android 4.4 KitKat should be running the show out of the box but we can expect the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in the future.
While these details do sound plausible, HTC is yet to announce the device officially. We have no idea when the Taiwanese company plans to unveil the device but we suspect it to happen at the MWC. As always, we’ll keep you posted.
