Just after the flagship HTC One (M8) was announced, the long rumoured HTC Desire 616, which is apparently the company’s first octa core powered phone, has surfaced.
The HTC Desire 616 has been repeatedly surfacing and has been piquing us as there was no official confirmation. But now the Chinese authorities have approved the handset, which would be the company’s first octa core processor handset. The phone has a 5 inch display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
The HTC Desire 616 is powered by the octa core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.7 GHz along with 1 GB of RAM. There is also rear facing 8 MP camera. The phone runs on the latest Android v4.4.2 and we can also expect the new Sense 6.0 UI. However, it’s quite unlikely that the handset may never cross China.
