Days after the HTC Desire 500 was launched in Taiwan, the company has launched the mid-range smartphone internationally and said it would be available in the markets by end of August.
The HTC Desire 500 has a 4.3 inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 200 processor along with 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. The device also has an Adreno 205 GPU.
The HTC Desire 500 has two cameras – an 8 MP rear camera with BSI sensor and a front facing 1.6 MP camera. The device runs on the Android v4.2 with a layer of the latest HTC BlinkFeed. The device has an 1800 mAh battery. The smartphone is also said to be available with dual SIM support and NFC in select markets.
