We just heard about reports of HTC’s plans to quit the Windows Phone market, however new details of the Windows Phone edition of the HTC One prove contrary.
According to sources, HTC is still committed to the Windows Phone platform and is very keen on the Windows Phone version of its popular HTC One. The device will feature the same specs of the normal HTC One like the 4.7 inch display. The smartphone will however have to use the GDR3 update of Windows Phone 8 if they plan on retaining the 1080p resolution.
Rubbishing the rumours about HTC severing ties with Windows Phone, Jeff Gordon, Senior Global Online Communications Manager at HTC, claimed that HTC is absolutely dedicated to the Windows Phone line-up. We would however have to wait till the release of the Windows Phone GDR 3 update to see the stand of HTC on its Windows Phone side.
