HTC has been trying to improve the camera performance of its flagship ever since its launch and now, the company has updated its Camera app to bring new features to the One M9.
HTC recently released a camera specific update for the One M9, which was supposed to improve the camera performance and address the complains of various reviewers around the globe. The HTC Camera app has just been updated to support DNG file format for the One M9.
While the HTC Camera app is available for various HTC devices, the DNG feature has only arrived for the One M9. The DNG file support for the rear camera of the One M9 should make sure that the owners of the device get better pictures out of it. Along with the new feature, there are also the usual enhancements and performance improvements.
HTC One M9 might not be a radical change from its predecessors when it comes to the design and most of the specs but one that has undergone major change is the rear camera. While the One M8 packed the UltraPixel 4 MP Duo Camera setup, One M9 features the more traditional 20 MP camera. The camera on the One M9 hasn’t been received too well with reviewers finding the performance not on par with other flagships. Well, it’s good to see HTC trying to address these concerns but we hope HTC finally gets a good camera unit on their next flagship.
