The HTC Butterfly successor, the B2 aka the HTC Butterfly 2 has just made an appearance at Taiwan’s NCC, which is the Taiwanese equivalent of the FCC.
The device features a model number B810x and the front panel of the device has also leaked. We get to see the alleged HTC Butterfly 2 in cool colors like blue and the usual black and white. If previous leaks are to be believed, there will be more color options including red, silver and brown. The device seems to be packing dual front facing speakers along with capacitive buttons similar to last year’s One M7.
While the original HTC Butterfly was the first smartphone to pack in a 1080p display, its successor won’t manage to make any such impact. The Butterfly 2 is said to be coming with a 5.2-inch 1080p display, the industry favorite Snapdragon 800 chipset, a 13 MP camera and water, dust resistance ratings.
The NCC listing suggests that the device will soon be launched in Asia but we don’t know the exact date yet. We also don’t know if the Taiwanese maker plans to bring the device to the rest of the world but we should know when the device goes official. As always, we’ll keep you posted.
