While the grand HTC event focussed mainly on the new HTC One (M8), the company has a gift for all Android users, its intuitive BlinkFeed is soon coming to the Play store.
HTC has officially announced that the HTC BlinkFeed, which is seen on the HTC One and the new HTC One (M8), will soon be released to all Android users through the Google Play store. Thus very soon even non-HTC Android users can experience the updates provided on the home screen by the feed. However, the release date is not yet mentioned. We also expect the app to be limited to devices running Android Jelly Bean and higher.
Meanwhile, HTC has also decided to release its updates directly to the Google Play store. As such, all the major features seen in HTC smartphones will be available on the Google Play store, most limited to only HTC devices. This approach is adopted by most companies to offer faster and reliable software updates via the Google Play store.
