Remember the HTC Butterfly, which was known as Butterfly J in Japan and as Droid DNA in the US. A press render of its successor dubbed HTC B2 has just leaked, thanks to @evleaks.
The leaked press render shows us only the front of the device and it looks nothing like the One M8. There are the dual front-facing stereo BoomSound speakers and a front facing camera. There have been various rumors on the Butterfly successor and now, we finally get to see it.
When the HTC Butterfly was unveiled back in 2012, it was a high end device and it was one of the first devices to pack in a 1080p display. The HTC B2 should pack in some top of the line specs and as per the previous rumor, there will be a 5.25-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 processor and it’ll come with water and dust resistance. That’s all the specs we know, as of now.
As per reports, the HTC B2 will be limited to some Asian countries only, to be more specific: Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan. We don’t know yet as to when HTC plans to unveil the B2 but we can expect to know more on the device pretty soon.
