The HTC 10, which was launched in India last year with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, is now receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update in the country.
This update, which bumps the OS on HTC 10 to Android 7.0 Nougat, is 1.21 GB in size, hence, we suggest that you download it over a Wi-Fi connection. The update carries version number 2.41.400.5 and comes with some bug fixes as well. Apart from that, it also comes with some system enhancements and Google’s February security patch for Android.
Google had released the Android 7.0 Nougat update on 22nd of August last year, which means that it took HTC six months to roll out the update to HTC 10 in India. The update was already rolled out for unlocked units in the US last November though. Well, HTC is not alone as Samsung also rolled out the Nougat update for Galaxy S7 and S7 edge in India just last month.
Coming back to the HTC 10, with the Nougat update, you will get some cool features like multi-window, improved Doze mode, direct reply, quick switch and more. It might take some time before the update reaches your device, but, you can check for it manually by going to the About menu in Settings.
