HTC India on Twitter announced the roll-out of Android 8.0 Oreo for HTC 10 units in India. The update is being rolled out over-the-air, hence, should take a couple of days to reach all the units in India. However, if you cannot wait more to taste Oreo on your HTC 10, you can check for the update manually by heading over to the Settings menu.
This update, that upgrades your HTC 10 to Android Oreo, weighs 1.43 GB in size, hence, it’s advisable to download it over a Wi-Fi connection for better download speed and to avoid incurring extra charges on your mobile data.
That said, as this is an Oreo update, it brings along features like Picture-in-Picture Mode, Notification Snoozing, Smart Text Selection, and more to the HTC 10. But, it’s also worth noting that this update brings in VoLTE support for Jio.
