Lately, the 7-inch Android tablets market is being flooded with many new entrants bringing in their own, cheap tablets and today, HP has also announced its arrival in the already crowded market with the launch of its cheap HP Slate 7.
The HP Slate 7 arrives with a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels which is decent enough, while being powered by a 1.6 GHz Cortex A 9 dual-core processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM.
The Slate 7 has 8 GB of internal memory which thankfully can be expanded using a microSD slot and carries a 3 MP camera on the rear while a VGA front facing camera has been provided for fulfilling the purpose of video chats.
The HP Slate 7 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box and arrives with the excellent Beats Audio enhancement which is bound to make your music listening experience, better. The battery life is pegged to be around 5 hours.
The Slate 7 has been priced competitively and will be available for just $169 and will be available in April 2013 in the US, followed by other countries later on.
