While Honor started in India with Flipkart as its exclusive retail outlet, the company has now opened up its channels.
Honor, the sub-brand of Huawei, has announced that it will now sell its smartphones in India through Snapdeal alongside Flipkart, starting from today. However, the flagship Honor 7 and Honor 6 Plus will continue to be a Flipkart exclusive. As an inaugural offer, the company is offering the smartphones at discounted prices on Snapdeal.
Meanwhile, the company also confirmed that it will release the latest Android Marshmallow v6.0 update to its smartphones starting from February 2016. The Honor 7 would be the first to receive the update followed by the Honor 6, Honor 6 Plus, Honor 4X and Honor 4C.
Speaking about the initiative, P Sanjeev, VP, Consumer Business Group, Huawei India, said, “Our e-brand, Honor, has received an overwhelming response from Indian customers and we are now expanding our reach with Snapdeal.com. We are confident that this partnership will help us reach out to larger group of Honor smartphone fans”
