Chinese smartphone brand Honor started rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo based EMUI 8.0 update for Honor 8 Pro and Honor 9 last week. However, the update was only being rolled out in the U.K. But, the company has now started rolling out the Android Oreo based EMUI 8.0 update for Honor 8 Pro in India as well.
This Android Oreo based EMUI 8.0 update for Honor 8 Pro carries build number DUK-L09 8.0.0.310(C675CUSTC675D2). And, as this is an Android version upgrade, it weighs a hefty 2.81 GB in size, hence, it’s advisable to download the update over a Wi-Fi connection.
That said, the EMUI 8.0 update for Honor 8 Pro based on Android Oreo brings along some new features like Notification Snoozing, Picture-in-Picture Mode, Autofill Framework and more. Besides, it also enables VoLTE support for Vodafone and Jio. Furthermore, there are also some changes to the UI, Navigation Dock, Settings and Gallery.
Apart from that, the EMUI 8.0 update for Honor 8 Pro also comes with Smart Tips, Private Space, and, AI-based Optimization. Oh, and it also carries Google’s updated security patch for Android.
The Android 8.0 Oreo based EMUI 8.0 update for Honor 8 Pro is rolling out over the air, and, should take a couple of days to reach all the units. However, if you can’t wait for the update notification to pop-up on your device, you always have an option to check for it manually by heading over to the Settings menu.

In related news, Honor France has said that Honor 7X and Honor 8 will receive the EMUI 8.0 update in Q2 of 2018 (between April and June), however, its unclear whether the EMUI 8.0 update for Honor 8 will be based on Android Oreo or not.
