After several leaks and rumours, Huawei has now launched the Honor 8, which is the company’s latest high-end offering.
Huawei has announced the launch of the Honor 8, which is the company’s latest high-end smartphone with a metal frame with glass back and a fingerprint scanner on the back. The device has a 5.2 inch 2.5D curved glass display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the octa core Kirin 950 processor and is available in two variants – one with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage and the other with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.
The Honor 8 flaunts a 12 MP dual rear camera setup with Laser AF, f/2.2 aperture, 6P lens, 1.4um pixel size and dual-tone LED flash. There is also a front facing 8 MP camera. The device runs on the Android Marshmallow version with a 3000 mAh battery. The phone has hybrid dual SIM support with 4G LTE connectivity. The handset is priced starting at 1999 Yuan (approx. Rs. 20000) and is available in Pearl White, Sunrise Gold, Midnight Black, Sakura Pink and Sapphire Blue colour options.
