Soon after Evan Blass leaked a press render of the Samsung Galaxy S8 yesterday, more images of the device have surfaced online which give us the best look yet at this upcoming flagship.
Unlike most of the times, these images of the Galaxy S8 don’t come from leakster Evan Blass, rather they come from BGR this time. Starting with the front, you can see the display which is curved on both the sides. There’s also an 8 MP secondary camera above the display which is accompanied by the Iris Scanner. There’s no Samsung logo though and neither is the physical home button, which is why Samsung has gone for on-screen navigation buttons. Well, this is done to make the bezels small.
Also, as observed before, it looks like the on-screen navigation buttons can be re-arranged. In the past, we have seen the on-screen back button on the left side of the home button, however, this time the button is on the right side.
Moving on, at the right side of the Galaxy S8 is the power button whereas the volume rockers are located at the left along with a dedicated button for the digital assistant Bixby. At the top is the secondary microphone and at the bottom is the USB Type-C port along with the 3.5 mm audio jack, speaker and primary microphone. There have been rumors in the past that Samsung was going to take the Apple route and ditch the 3.5 mm audio jack on the Galaxy S8, however, it now looks like this isn’t going to happen.
The Galaxy S8 also boasts a design akin to that of the Galaxy Note7 as it does have a curved display, but, also has glass at the back which is rounded on the sides. While these images are of the Samsung Galaxy S8, it’s very much likely that the larger Galaxy S8+ will have the same design and hardware.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is going to be unveiled on March 29 and is reported to be launched globally on April 21. We will keep coming across more images as well as videos of the Galaxy S8 until Samsung makes the device official later this month.
