So BlackBerry finally announced its all new redesigned platform, BB10 on two brand new devices, the Z10 and the Q10 in India this week. We got our hands on the Z10 and fiddled around with new smartphone.
BlackBerry has put in a good effort with the device, and on paper, the Z10 sounds promising. Even the new BB10 OS feels smooth, and runs exceptionally well. Here are the specs of the device:
- 4.2-inch capacitive display
- Display resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels,
- Pixel density of 356PPI
- Powered by a 1.5GHz Dual Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor
- 2 GB RAM
- 16GB internal memory
- Expandable using microSD card up to 32 GB
- 8MP Autofocus camera with LED Flash
- 2MP Front Facing camera
- NFC, microUSB, microHDMI-Out
- Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi
- 2G, 3G, 4G LTE (In select countries)
- 1800 mAh battery
Priced at Rs.43,490, it isn’t one of the cheapest of the lot, but then we hope that BlackBerry will bring the cost down to match with competitors.
We also saw a glimpse of the Q10 which will be launched by the month of April in India. No proper demo of the Q10 was given, so we presume that the device still needs a bit of polishing.
