With the ICC T20 World Cup underway, Google has made extremely simple for cricket fans to stay connected to the match even while on the move.
Google has announced some new interesting features in its Google Search offerings in keeping with the ICC T20 World Cup. For starters, the Google app would offer score updates and match schedules in not just English but also in Hindi. Further, every time the user searches for things like “Cricket score” or “T20 score”, the app would automatically update the scores without having to refresh the page.
Google claims to have greatly improved the Search experience by adding news articles related to games, teams and players, as well as score boxes with in-depth game statistics. The app would also show the schedule of upcoming games and even offer information about the date and time of a specific game.
Speaking about the new features, Yoav Schwartzberg, Product Manager, Google Search, said, “Being away from the action can be frustrating, but from today you’ll never have to miss another moment with the launch of new cricket experiences on the Google app.”
