After the many leaks that hinted to a new redesigned Google Play Store, Google has officially announced the update. The new design not only has major UI changes but also unifies the Play Store with the rest of Google products.
The new version of the Google Play Store, which has started rolling out to users, has seen a major change in the design with a new refreshed UI. For starters, we have the new card UI. Also the dark colours are replaced with lighter colours to give it a new look.
The new Google Play Store focuses on visual images instead of text, hence images in the apps and even the app icons are made bigger and easy to see. Google also claims that the checkout process has been improved thus making it even simpler.
The revamped version of the Google Play Store has been rolled out to all Android devices running Android 2.2 and higher. So go and check if you have received the new Google Play Store and tell us how you like it.
