Google has today on its official Android Blog announced that the search giant’s Google Play Store has crossed 25 billion app installations with over 675,000 apps available in the Play Store for Android users to choose from.
With this Google has announced that to celebrate the milestone achievement it will put many popular games from a few big names on sale for just $0.25 over the next five days.
The list of developers includes Gameloft, Electronic Arts, Rovio, Runtastic and Full Fat to name a few. Also Google is not stopping here and will go on to offer special collections like 25 movies you must own, 25 banned books, 25 albums that changed the world and also 25 top selling magazines, all at special prices.
Google has said,
Every day you’ll be able to choose from a collection of apps from some of the world’s top developers including Gameloft, Electronic Arts, Rovio, Runtastic, Full Fat and more. And all for just 25 cents. We’ll also be offering some special collections like 25 movies you must own, 25 banned books, 25 albums that changed the world and our 25 top selling magazines, all at special prices. Google biggest competitor, Apple had recently at the launch of the iPhone 5 said that Apple’s App Store has 700,000 apps and has crossed the 30 billion apps downloaded milestone. So it will not be too far away when we see Google’s Play Store may come even with the Apple App Store.
