Along with the Android M update, Google has also launched a new photo storage service at the Google I/O 2015 Developer Conference – Google Photos.
Google has announced the launch of the new Google Photos app, which is the company’s standalone photo storage service. The service would automatically back up and sync unlimited photos and videos. The service would be available on iOS, Android, and the web and would works across a host of devices including phones and computers.
The Google Photos service would store Photos with original resolution up to 16MP for photos, and 1080p high-definition for videos. The service would also provide compressed versions of the photos and videos in print-quality resolution. It will further automatically organize photos by the people, places, and things without requiring users to manually tag or label any photos neither create albums.
