While Internet giant, Google has already conquered the smartphone domain. It now plans on entering the automobile industry.

iOS-in-the-car

According to reports, Google is working with renowned German carmaker Audi to develop new integrated entertainment and information systems which are based on its Android platform. The in-car system, which would be tested with Audi cars, would enable drivers and passengers access music, navigation, apps and services as if on an Android smartphone.

The new integrated system for the cars is likely to be announced at the upcoming CES 2014. Audi would also demonstrate new technologies that allow cars to drive themselves in certain situations and for short periods. This move from Google comes following the Apple’s ‘iOS in the Car’ announcement at the recent keynote.
