Google has started rolling out a new update to the Camera app on the Play Store. The new update brings Android Wear support to the camera app.
The new update lets users remotely control the Google Camera app from an Android Wear device. When you’ll launch the Camera app on your Android smartphone, a new card will pop up on your Android Wear device. While your wearable display won’t show the viewfinder, you’ll be shown a big capture button to take the picture. When pressed, the wearable will show you a timer of three seconds and then take the picture.
When the picture is snapped, a preview of it will be shown on your Android Wear device. The Android Wear integration only works with the Google camera app and not the other camera apps of other manufacturers. Along with the Android Wear support, the new update also brings a new redesigned Panorama UI.
The update is rolling out gradually but if your are one of the impatient ones, you can get it on your Android smartphones by downloading the apk file from the source link below.
