Google recently decided to bring its stock camera app to the Play Store, so that they can bring updates easily without having to wait for full Android releases. Today, the Google Camera app has just received an update, which brings a number of new features and bring back some features, which were removed.
Google Camera update for Android brings the version of the app to 2.2.024. The update finally brings the ability to shoot in different aspect ratios. You can choose between the 4:3 full frame images or you can go ahead with cropped images at 16:9 aspect ratio. The update also brings back timer, which was removed some time back.
The new update also brings a couple of new panorama options: fisheye and wide-angle image. The update includes some minor UI improvements as well along with the usual bug fixes.
The Google Camera update is currently rolling out, so don’t panic if it’s not available for you right now but you can surely keep checking at the Play Store.
