A lot of people out there use the good old Gmail as their personal and even work mail. And the iOS app for Gmail, well seemed pretty basic.
Google has now finally updated the app and has brought in the long awaited Notification Center support.
Earlier you had to go to the Gmail app to see if you have a new email on your Gmail account. Well now if you get an email on your Gmail account, you will be able to access it right from the Notification Center.
Google says that adding this feature will make Gmail notifications up to 5 times faster than in the previous version. Other changes include the ability to send emails from alternate addresses if you’ve properly configured them within your current Gmail account and an upgraded login system that lets users stay logged into iOS Gmail for as long as they want. Google will be bringing in more features in future updates including support for multiple accounts.
