While Google is known to regularly update its Android and iOS clients of Gmail with improved features, the company today refurbished the Gmail interface for feature phone browsers.
With a big chunk of Gmail users in developing countries regularly accessing their emails using the low cost feature phones, Google has revamped the Gmail services with a new look which faster and simpler to use. The new look adds in a number of improvements that reduce the number of button presses required to read, reply and compose emails.
With the new Gmail, you can reply directly to a message from the thread view. You can even choose to move to the previous or next conversation directly. While the usage of feature phones has steadily been decreasing due to the decreasing pricing of smartphones, the Gmail web service on a basic feature phone is a real boon where proper connectivity is yet to be established.
