While Samsung has been keeping the dual screen smartphone industry alive by randomly releasing some (overpriced) phones, Gionee is all set to launch its first such handset.
Gionee is said to be working on its first clamshell smartphone with a dual display tagged as the W900. The handset was spotted at the TENAA in China. Interestingly, the handset looks almost similar to Samsung’s recently launched flip phones but are said to have more power within. Sources indicate that the device would be launched early next year.
Sources reveal that the Gionee W900 would flaunt dual AMOLED displays measuring 4 inches with full HD resolution. The handset is said to be powered by a quad core processor with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. Also expected is a 13 and 5 MP camera with the Android KitKat version.
