Gionee GN8001 has received certification from China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center (TENAA). The Gionee GN8001 has now been listed on TENAA’s website, revealing it’s design and listing out all its specifications.
Going by the specifications listed out on the website, the Gionee GN8001 is powered by 1.3GHz octa-core processor accompanied by 3GB of RAM. It also boasts off 6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Surely with that much of screen real estate, this device is not a smartphone, but falls into the phablet category. Going by the image, the home button on this device resembles the one on the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, so you can expect a fingerprint sensor housed on the home button. There’s no official word yet so saying that would be too soon.
It has 32GB of internal storage, whereas the external storage can be expanded all the way up to 128GB. Camera department consists of an 8MP or 13MP rear camera, along with 5 front camera. This phablet will be running Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. It weighs 206 grams and has a dimension of 160.7 × 81.0 × 8.2 mm. Also the Gionee GN8001 packs in a massive 5020 mAh battery. Considering the size and type of the display, I think that’s a good decision by Gionee.
