Given the demand for affordable smartphones, Gionee now seems to be gearing up with a new smartphone offering.
A mysterious Gionee smartphone bearing model number Gionee GN5005 was spotted at TENAA in China. The handset seems to be an upcoming affordable offering with a full metal body and a fingerprint scanner embedded in the Home button. The device is said to have a decent 5 inch HD display.
As per the listing, the Gionee GN5005 is powered by a quad core processor clocked at 1.25 GHz along with 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. Also expected is an 8 MP rear facing camera and a front facing 5 MP camera. The handset is said to pack in a massive 4000 mAh battery. Pricing and release details would be revealed at the time of the launch.
