With the ‘Make in India’ initiative quickly picking up amongst handset makers, Gionee has now launched its locally manufactured first handset – the Gionee F103.
Gionee has announced the launch of the Gionee F103, which is the company’s first ‘Made in India phone’ manufactured by Foxconn in SriCity, Andhra Pradesh. The device has a 5.0 inch IPS display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core MediaTek processor with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.
The Gionee F103 has an 8 MP rear facing auto focus camera with LED flash. There is also a front facing 5 MP camera. The device runs on the Android Lollipop version with a 2400 mAh battery. The handset is priced at Rs. 9999 and is available in Pearl White, Dawn White and Black colour options.
