While Gionee Elife S5.5 is the current holder of the ‘thinnest smartphone in the world’ title, it’s going to change hands soon with another Gionee smartphone, the Gionee Elife S4.8. We recently came across the TENAA certification of a 5mm thick Gionee smartphone and today, we have pictures of the device.
The Gionee GN9005 aka the Elife S4.8 has leaked in new spy photos and the pictures show the slender frame. Don’t be fooled with the S4.8 moniker, as apparently, it is related to the 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display the device is said to feature. The device measures 5mm thick, which isn’t really far away from the 4.8 mark.
Since, the device has already been certified in China, we can expect it to go official soon. The Gionee Elife S4.8 is expected to be powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core Qualcomm processor with 1 GB RAM. Other specs are said to be an 8 MP rear camera, a 2050 mAh battery and LTE connectivity.
The Gionee Elife S4.8 is all set to become the world’s thinnest smartphone and we have a question for you. Do you think the 5mm thickness is a bit too thin for a smartphone or you would love more thinner smartphones?
