The Gionee A1, which was unveiled last month during MWC 2017, was launched in India three days ago. While Gionee didn’t reveal the price of this device during the launch, the company has now announced that the Gionee A1 is priced at ₹19,999 in India.
The Gionee A1 has been promoted as a selfie-centric smartphone which comes with a 16 MP camera on the front. For regular photographs, you get a 13 MP camera at the back of the device. The Gionee A1 is powered by Helio P10 SoC and is laced with 4 GB RAM along with Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. It runs on Amigo OS 4.0 out of the box which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
During the launch event, Gionee had announced that pre-bookings for the A1 would start from March 31, however, the company hasn’t revealed any information as to when the device will be available for purchase. Also, those who pre-book the A1 will be offered two-year warranty along with a JBL headphone or a Swiss Military Bluetooth Speaker.
