We have had a lot of scoop on the Galaxy S5 Zoom in the past few days. We have come across leaked specs a couple of times and we also came across a leaked picture as well. We again have leaked specifications but this time, things do seem to get confirmed.
The specs get confirmed, thanks to a listing on the AnTuTu benchmark database. Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom or the Galaxy K Zoom, which is the name rumors suggest the device is going to come with will come with a 4.8-inch 720p display. It will be powered by the Hexa-core Exynos 5 processor coupled with 2 gigs of RAM. We don’t know the internal storage but there will be microSD expansion, so that won’t be a problem. The latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat will be installed on the S5 Zoom.
Since, the camera should be the highlight of the device, it will supposedly be feature rich. There’s said to be a 20.2 MP camera sensor with Xenon flash, OIS and 10x optical zoom. The front facing camera on the S5 Zoom is said to be 2.1 MP one. The device is no slouch, when it comes to performance as it managed to score an impressive 33,252 on the AnTuTu benchmark. As per the leaked picture and previous leaks, the device will be a lot thinner than its predecessor and there will be no protruding camera lens.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Galaxy S5 Zoom or K Zoom or whatever Samsung plans on calling it can produce superior results against the Galaxy S5’s 16 MP ISOCELL unit, otherwise the device wouldn’t make sense.
