A couple of weeks back we reported that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade for Samsung Galaxy S III to have been pushed to the month of October.
And today it is being reported that Galaxy S III owners in Europe are finally getting the much awaited OS upgrade on their smartphones bringing in loads of new features such as Google Now, Smooth UI with Project Butter and more.
In addition to the Galaxy S III, Samsung has listed out the devices that will be getting the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade ‘very soon’ with any specific timeframe declared. The other devices include:
- Galaxy Tab 2 7.0
- Galaxy Tab 2 10.1
- Galaxy Note 10.1
- Galaxy S II
- Galaxy Note
- Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus
- Galaxy S Advance
- Galaxy S II LTE
- Galaxy Music
- Galaxy Chat
- Galaxy Ace 2
- Galaxy Beam
- Galaxy Ace Plus
- Galaxy Mini II
- Galaxy S DUOS
Interestingly Samsung has also listed the Galaxy Music about which we have heard very little and do not have any idea as to which device is it. But we hope Samsung to update us over it very soon.Also the upgrade for the Samsung Galaxy S III is rolling out gradually and will reach other countries very soon. So if you own the Galaxy S III, do wait for the notification to pop up or try connecting your device with Kies to check for the upgrade arriving.
