When Android 4.4 KitKat was announced, Google laid emphasis on how the new Android update will run better on low end devices with 512 MB RAM but quite ironically they announced that the Galaxy Nexus will not be getting the update because it was out of the 18 month update window Google promises with its devices but worry not Galaxy Nexus users as the cool developers at XDA have come up with a stable Android 4.4 KitKat ROM.
The custom Android 4.4 KitKat ROM is based on CyanogenMod 11 and everything seems to be quite stable as the developer suggests but for the screenshot animation although the screenshot functionality works fine. Check out the video below to see the ROM in action:
