Here we go! While the rumor mills were busy speculating about the possible specs that the Samsung Galaxy S IV smartphone could pack in, a press image of what is claimed to the Galaxy S IV has just leaked online. The image which you see below is said to be that of the Samsung Galaxy S IV and was sent by an insider at Samsung to SamMobile.
While we highly doubt the authenticity of the leak, we could also give it a benefit of the doubt and if this is going to the be the next Galaxy flagship from Samsung, then we can notice a few changes easily.
The most important of all is the absence of the physical home button on the smartphone. The bezel around the device has also been shrunk and is much thinner than that on the Galaxy S III. While we can see the volume rocker and lock button, the dedicated camera button is missing which makes us doubt the image’s authenticity. The design of the device in the picture bears resemblance to that of the Galaxy S III and the recently launched Galaxy Premier.
The rumored specifications of the Galaxy S IV are as below:
- 4.99-inch full HD Super AMOLED screen
- Display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels
- 2 GHz quad-core Exynos 5450 processor
- 2 GB RAM
- Mali-T658 GPU
- 13 Megapixel Rear Facing Camera
- 2 Megapixel Front Facing Camera
- Android 4.2.1 (Out of the box)
- S-Pen functionality
It is being speculated that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S IV sometime in April at a dedicated event. Last year, the Galaxy S III got an event of its own and was unveiled in May. So the April release for the S IV is quite believable. What are your thoughts on the leaked image?
