Social Networking site Facebook has many apps. It has its main Facebook app along with a Lite version of it for slower connections. Facebook has also stripped the messaging functionality from its main app and released standalone Messenger app. You also have Pages Manager app which lets you manage your Facebook Pages. Well, Facebook has released yet another app now called ‘Events from Facebook’.
As the name suggests, the Events for Facebook app aims at bringing all the event information at one place for the user. Well, the main Facebook app already lets you go through the Events, but this dedicated app lets you do more.
The app shows you information about the events your friends are interested in and also the ones which were recently announced by the Pages you have liked. It also gives you recommendations based on your interest, time and location.
The app also has an interactive map with which you can browse through the events in other cities. The app also gives you a calendar view of all the upcoming events, making it easier for you to attend an event based on your schedule.
Talking about the availability of the Events app, as of now, it’s only available for iOS users in the US. However, Facebook has said that the app will be coming to Android soon.
