After much anticipation the new Facebook for Home has been officially unveiled. We had a pretty good idea what the Facebook Home would be like, and it’s quite true. We could call the Facebook Home as just another third party Android launcher with social networking integration.
As per Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, considering the amount of time spent by the average user on Facebook compared to any other app, they are not building a new OS but a new category of experiences, a family of apps called Home. The app is said to be designed around people and their preferences.
As soon as a phone with Facebook Home is turned on, the user’s list of notification appears with their profile picture at the bottom. It uses the gesture UI to swipe away unwanted notifications. Even apps can be accessed with just one swipe.
Facebook Home for Android will be available only on some smartphones starting from April 12th. So are you going to use the Facebook Home?
