Back in November, Nokia went on to announce the dual-SIM Nokia 206 for the Indian market alongside the Nokia Asha 205. While the Asha 205 went on to be available for buyers a bit earlier, there was no news on when the Nokia 206 might be available.
But today, the Nokia 206 is ‘In Stock’ at the Nokia Shop and is also available with the online retailer Flipkart for prospective buyers. The Nokia Series 40 OS phone is available for Rs.3580 at the Nokia Shop and at Rs.3599 on Flipkart.
Like the Nokia Asha 205, the Nokia 206 also arrives with a new feature called ‘Slam’. Slam allows consumers to share multimedia content like photos and videos with nearby friends almost instantly. It works with most Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones without the need to pair devices, and without the recipient needing to also have Slam.
The dual-SIM phone features Nokia’s EasySwap technology that enables consumers to change SIM cards without having to turn off the device and arrives with Nokia’s Xpress Browser which compresses and saves data for the users.
The Nokia 206 arrives with the following specifications:
- 2.4-inch display
- Screen resolution of 320 x 240 pixels
- 65K colors
- 64 MB internal memory
- Expandable to 32 GB
- 1.3 MP camera
- 116 x 49.4 x 12.4 mm
- 91 grams
- GPRS/EDGE connectivity
- Bluetooth v2.1 with EDR
- 1110 mAh battery
The Nokia 206 has been made available in three color options for buyers: Black, White and Cyan. The phone seems to be a decent buy for users who wish to have basic connectivity to the internet with dual-SIM functionality.
