It is a big day for Dropbox today. After acquiring Mailbox nearly a year ago, which was an exclusive for iOS, the company released the app for Android along with another Gallery app.
Dropbox has announced the launch of Mailbox for Android. The app is well known for managing email and currently works only with Gmail and iCloud accounts. The app transform the mailbox to a to-do list and lets you sort your mail using gestures. Quick swiping to the left sends your emails to a read it later list while a long swipe would let you add it to a specific list. You can download the Mailbox app for free from the Google Play store.
Dropbox also launched the Carousel app, which is the company’s first Gallery app. While Dropbox instinctively uploads your photos to the cloud, this gallery app lets you organize the photos and videos in your Dropbox with the photos on your phone. The app can also be used to share albums or images privately with your friends and family. You can download the Carousel app from the Google Play store and the Apple App Store.
