After the Freedom 251 fiasco, yet another company has risen with claims to offer the cheapest Android smartphone in India – the Docoss X1.
Docoss, a Jaipur based company, has announced the launch of the Docoss X1, which is the company’s first smartphone offering which is touted to be the most affordable Android smartphone in India. The device has a small 4 inch IPS display with resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core processor with 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage.
The Docoss X1 has a 2 MP rear facing auto focus camera with LED flash. There is also a front facing VGA camera. The device runs on the Android KitKat version with a 1300 mAh battery. The phone has dual SIM support but with only 3G connectivity. The handset is priced at just Rs. 888 and can be booked on the company website. However, the website didn’t seem to be accepting orders.
