While Dell has being doing exceptionally well in the computer business, the company is trying its luck with the tablet industry with the new Dell Venue tablets.
Dell has announced the launch of the new Dell Venue tablets measuring 7 inches and 8 inches. Both the tablets are powered by a dual core Intel Atom processor along with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.
The Dell Venue tablets are equipped with a 5 MP rear facing camera and a front facing 2 MP camera. The devices run on the Android KitKat version with a massive 4550 mAh battery. The Dell Venue 7 is priced at Rs. 14999 and the Dell Venue 8 is priced at Rs. 18999.
Speaking about the new Dell Venue tablets, P. Krishnakumar, Executive Director, Consumer & Small Business, Dell India, said, “Dell is focusing strongly on the tablet segment in India. With voice enablement, we are confident of capturing a sizable part of the highly segmented tablet market. The addition of voice calling comes as a result of customer feedback that highlighted how increasingly consumers feel the need to converge their mobile technology needs into a single device. Backed by Dell’s strong distribution network and the latest addition of the mobile specialty retail (MSR) network, our consumers will be able to experience and buy this product quite easily.”
