While Gionee has taken the title for the worlds thinnest smartphone, Dell just grabbed the title for the world thinnest tablet with the new Dell Venue 8 7840.
Dell has announced the launch of the Dell Venue 8 7840, which at 6.4 mm is touted to be the world’s thinnest tablet device. The device also packs in some high-end specs including a massive 8.4 inch IPS display with resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. The tablet is powered by a quad core Intel Atom Z3580 processor overclocked to 2.3 GHz with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.
The Dell Venue 8 7840 has an 8 MP rear facing auto focus camera with a supporting sensor to measure depth, just like the HTC M8 Dual Camera. There is also a front facing 2 MP camera.
